Fact-Checking Policy

Last updated: September 14, 2026.

MarketPilotDaily applies a source-first fact-checking process to material claims before publication.

What we verify

We check material dates, figures, percentages, rates, company or agency statements, regulatory actions, and other factual claims against the source cited for that claim. When a figure cannot be supported by the available source, the claim should be removed, narrowed, or held for further review.

Primary-source preference

For company-specific financial metrics, filings and official investor-relations material are preferred. For macroeconomic data, we favor official government, central-bank, or recognized statistical sources. Secondary reporting is useful for context but is not treated as a substitute for a required primary source.

Verification handoff

Verified and rejected facts are passed forward to later editorial stages. Drafting tools are instructed to use verified facts as the factual authority and not to revive rejected claims. Additional editorial checks review whether article language remains within the scope of the supporting evidence.

Uncertainty

If a source cannot be accessed or a claim cannot be verified, we distinguish that from evidence proving the claim false. Unverified material is not presented as established fact.

To flag a factual issue, email [email protected] with the article URL and the specific claim in question.
